4140 Q&T High Hardness
MIM 4140 is a low alloy steel with Chromium, Molybdenum and Manganese alloying elements. MIM 4140 has good hardenability, and when heat treated (Quenched & Tempered) to a high hardness condition, offers high strength, toughness, and wear-resistance. OptiMIM’s 4140 has higher tensile strength, yield strength and impact resistance than wrought 4140. This alloy is used in many industries, including automotive, aerospace, defense, and in structural and industrial components. -
