4140 Q&T Low Hardness

MIM 4140 is a low alloy steel with Chromium, Molybdenum and Manganese alloying elements.  It can be heat treated with a quench & temper process to various hardness levels.  Tempered to a lower hardness, the alloy exhibits good strength and ductility.  OptiMIM’s 4140 has higher tensile strength, yield strength, and impact resistance than wrought 4140.
